2020年10月2日至10月6日，未来太空学者大会（Future Space Scholars Meet简称FSSM）中国区总决赛在北京拉开帷幕。经过了为期四天的角逐，北京市第八十中学国际部的Seembs队所在的Helio Energy（金乌能源）公司获得了亚军。The final competition of 2020 Future Space Scholars Meet (FSSM for short) was held in Beijing from October 2nd to October 6th. After four days’ hard working, the Team Seembs in the Helio Energy company, which is from the international department of Beijing No. 80 High School got the silver prize.

本次比赛经过了初赛和终选赛两个阶段，初赛为参赛队伍提交关于“火神”火星轨道的解决方案。经过首轮的选拔共有来自八十中学，人大附中，十一学校，北师大附属实验中学，山东实验中学，合肥八中，南京一中，厦门一中等19个学校的29支队伍参加了中国区的终选赛。

The whole competition had divided into two parts which was preliminary and final. The preliminary competition was to submit a project of a settlement named “Vulcan” on the Mars. After the first turn, 29 teams from 19 schools such as Beijing No. 80 High School, Beijing National Day School, Nanjing No. 1 Middle School were successfully involved in the final round.

未来太空学者大会（FSSM）由中国航天基金会、美国航天基金会、英国国家空间学院、ITCCC Educational Group主办，是一项面向全球的青少年航天产业模拟活动。所有队伍将通过抽签的方式组建48 人虚拟公司。所有成员将按照公司的组织架构分工协作，模拟真实产业运作流程，紧密合作、极限设计，完成投标方案，并最终向由评审专家组成的招标方团队进行全英文展示演讲。

The Future Space Scholars Meet (FSSM) is mainly held by China Space Foundation, America Space Foundation, UK National Space Academy and ITCCC Educational Group. It is a space simulation activity for teenagers all over the world. All the teams will combine to a company of 48 people by drawing lots. All members will follow the company structure to cooperate with each other, complete the final project, and present the design to the judges in English.

参加本次比赛的六位同学为国际部高一年级直升班10A1班陈树（队长）、靳梦琪、邢世睿、张博嘉、赵米拉和10B1班李屹，指导教师为闫凌加。初赛培训从6月12日起，不定时利用假期时间采用线上会议的方式进行，并于8月5日完成了初稿的设计。指导教师主要对设计方案中的细节进行解答，合理安排学生的分工合作并且对文案进行最终梳理。Seembs队在9月初开始了终选赛的准备工作，按照专家组给出的建议对方案进行整合、梳理，最终赵米拉同学负责整理出了较为完善的终稿。

There are six students who took part in it. The leader Shu Chen, team member Mengqi Jin, Shirui Xing, Bojia Zhang and Mila Zhao are from 10A1, and Yi Li is from 10B1. The instructing teacher is Lingjia Yan. The whole training started from June 12th by holding online meetings irregularly, and they finished their design on August 5th. The instructing teacher was mainly responsible for focusing on the details in the project, dividing the work according to students’ skills, and combining the final project. The Seembs Team started their preparation for the final round from September, and they corrected some mistakes in the design according to the suggestions given by the judges. The final version of the design was completed by Mila Zhao.

在10月2日至6日期间，每位同学各司其职，在新组建的48人虚拟航天商业公司中齐心协力、团结协作完成了模拟答辩、公司竞选、24小时极限挑战、终选答辩等环节。终选赛中，指导教师重点对学生的答辩和展示环节进行了指导。最终，Seembs队三名展示的同学均表现突出。整个公司获得了亚军，邢世睿同学获得了团队最有价值队员奖。

During the 5-day-period from October 2nd to October 6th, every student was doing their own job. They had worked together, cooperated with other groupmates, voted for the leaders in their company, completed a design within 24 hours, and presented their project. The instructing teacher mainly helped them with the presentation. Finally, three members in Seembs who were presenting had done a great job. The whole company got a silver prize, and Shirui Xing got an MVP prize in the whole team.

本次比赛不仅培养了学生的团队合作能力、英文演讲能力及运用物理和工程知识解决实际问题的能力，更提升了学生的综合素质。未来太空学者大会（FSSM）是一场工程与商业完美结合的比赛，尤其在24小时极限挑战赛中学生最大限度的发挥了自己的优势，在规定时间内完成了商业计划书的撰写。经过了该场比赛的洗礼，学生们都感慨收获颇丰、受益匪浅！期待八十中学更多的学生能够参加到这个比赛中，期待明年的比赛中八十中学能够再创佳绩！

This competition had not only developed students’ abilities to cooperate, present in English, use Physics knowledge to solve problems, but also improved their personalities. The Future Space Scholars Meet (FSSM) was a perfect combination of engineering and business, especially during the 24-hour design, students had showed their best advantages and abilities to complete the business plan within the time limit. After participating in this competition, students had learned a lot, and they found it worthy to take part in. We expect that more students from Beijing No. 80 High School can join this competition, and we wish that they can achieve better award next year!
