2013年4月1日，美国圣地亚哥州立大学首席招生官王言先生和中国驻洛杉矶总领事馆前领事许翠英女士来到我校，对国际部高三学生进行了面试，并对国际部中美、中英项目全体学生详细介绍了圣地亚哥州立大学以及其他留学事宜。
首先，王言先生对高三三名学生进行面试。同学们先逐一做自我介绍，然后针对三名学生不同的情况，面试官又追加了一些问题，以便对他们有更深入的了解。同学们流利并且充满激情的英文受到了面试官频频赞许。
随后，许翠英女士根据自己多年从事的驻美国教育领事的工作经验，向同学们详细介绍了美国本科教育的相关情况，包括美国大学的类型、申请条件及时间、对国际生的优惠政策等等，为学生以后的升学规划进行了深入指导。此外，王言先生还介绍了圣地亚哥州立大学的基本情况以及申请的具体步骤，为同学们指点迷津。在讲座中，同学们积极与来宾进行互动提问，现场气氛轻松活泼。
在此次活动中，同学们加深了对美国本科教育以及圣地亚哥州立大学的了解，开阔了视野。同时，通过与面试官面对面直接、深入的交流，他们对面试的程序和技巧有了更深刻的体会，促使其迈出了走进美国名校的一大步。
On Apr. 1, 2013, Mr. Wang Yan, the Chief recruiting officer of San Diego State University,and Ms. Xu Cuiping, Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles, came to our school, first interviewed the Grade 12 students and then gave an introduction to all the Grade 10 and 11 students about San Diego State University in detail.
Firstly, Mr. Wang interviewed the three students of Grade 12. The students introduced themselves in English one by one. Then some more questions were asked to the students in order to learn them more. Their fluent and passionate English impressed the interviewer.
After that, Ms. Xu gave all students a brief introduction about the undergraduate education in the United States based on her years of work experience, including the different types of universities in the US, the application requirement and the deadline, some preferential policies for the international students, etc., which give students more guidance for their entrance planning. In addition, Mr. Wang also introduced San Diego State University as well as the application procedure in details. The students took actively part in interacting with the guests. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively during the whole lecture.
All in all, students acquired further information on undergraduate education in the United State as well as San Diego State University through this activity, and also broadened their horizon. They learnt interview procedures and what attention should be paid during an interview from this face-to-face interview. They have made one step forward to the famous American universities.
